Child Development Information System

The Child Development Information System (CDIS) is a secure, web-based, electronic health record system encompassing early childhood, school and community health. CDIS utilises a centralised infrastructure to deliver streamlined management of referrals, intake and clical workflow, appointment scheduling, service delivery, activity tracking, reporting and research capabilities.

CDIS is part of D.R.A. Computing’s Electronic Knowledge and Information Data System (eKIDS), which utilises the latest in Microsoft® .NET and SQL technology; and has been designed and developed in Australia, specifically for use by the Australian health care sector.

As part of our unified maternity and early childhood solution, consisting of shared care, maternity, early childhood and child development; CDIS enables an integration of service delivery for everyone involved in child and youth health care, as well as enabling information flow into our community system (see diagram below).

CDIS includes flexible reporting, is compatible with existing technology and infrastructure, streamlines data collection and reporting processes, and enables enhanced communication between key stakeholders and healthcare professionals, leading to improved social and health outcomes.

eKids Suite

Being part of our eKIDS suite also means that CDIS is connected to our Electronic Client Application Foundation (eCAF), providing HL7 and web-service integration to existing patient administration systems (PAS) and other electronic health record (EHR) systems.
